When the fire alarm team recognized the low customer satisfaction rates in the industry, they made it their mission to ensure customers were highly satisfied with their services. By responding to customer’s requests immediately, having experienced technicians, and creating an open dialogue with customers about their level of performance enabled the small division to transform into the company’s core service. As Kinetix grew, they added additional fire and life safety service offerings in order to better serve their customers.
Today, Kinetix offers an array of fire and life safety services nationwide. As the company forges new customer relationships it continues to receive great performance reviews and maintains a high customer retention rate. In fact, over 70% of customers receive multiple services from Kinetix.
But there have been challenges along the way. In the 2008 economic downturn, the company experienced significant profit losses every month. The road ahead looked rocky but the company’s leaders recognized that it was the people in the company that made it a great organization. Despite the company’s short term slump there wasn’t a single layoff. Instead everyone banded together, made sacrifices, and stayed afloat.
Over the years Kinetix has been a member of the Philadelphia 100, a list which honors the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in the Philadelphia area. More importantly the company was recognized for providing its customers with excellent services and was named the National Small Business Administration’s Contractor of the Year.
The company would never have received these awards if it only focused on code compliance.
